Treffer Fast (MV-APFC) are part of the Treffer Factory product and built on modern Vacuum Contactor -VCC technology. Treffer MV APFC are designed to provide Fast reactive power compensation and harmonic filtering in demanding applications. Treffer MV APFC minimise voltage variations and flicker caused by heavy industrial loads, such as Smelting furnaces (MFI), mining motors, Rolling Mill Motors etc.
Application :
These types of MV banks are normally divided in two or three steps of regulation
of the total reactive bank power and they are operated automatically by a power factor
correction controller.
Each single step is switched by MV vacuum contactor. Typical scheme of these capacitor banks
is as follows:
Incoming Compartment can be equipped with options:
- Bus bars only
- No load line disconnector
- Line disconnector or fixed circuit breaker
- Withdraw-able circuit breaker
- MV vacuum contactor with HRC current limiting fuses
- Damping or blocking reactors
- Fast discharge resistors
- Capacitors
- Unbalance protection CT
- Each step earthing switch.
